Situated within a small gully between two small hillocks to the NE of Llyn Ystradllyn the hut circle is said to be contemporary to a nearby field system. Coflein considers the hut circle to be Bronze Age, but they appear to have recorded the site twice as NPRN 302632 & 288406? However, the nearby field system has a feature that may have been a hut?
There are several hut circles within this area that have escaped the attention of the nearby Gorseddau Quarry, some better preserved than others. This one more resembles a 7m diameter stone circle with several large stones spaced a couple of metres apart. The main ones are 6 orthostat boulders measuring 0.7m to 1.4m in size. One stone is standing at 1.4m with evidence of packing. There are smaller stones lying turf covered within the gaps and the centre of the hut has an oval ring of stones about 2.5m by 1.5m E-W (I uncovered this feature for photo purposes). Tbe hut circle occupies a sheltered position with the western side built against the slope of the hillock.
