Neolithic and Bronze AgeAn Early Neolithic stalled chambered cairn on the north coast of Caithness, on the high ground between Dunnet and Mey, looking out over the Pentland Firth towards the Orkney Islands. The monument belongs to the wider tradition of stalled cairns found across northern Scotland: a drystone chamber set within an encircling cairn, with a series of upright slabs protruding into the chamber at right angles to its long axis to divide it into compartments or 'stalls'.
