On
the lower slopes of Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain. To
the west is Eskdale, and the sea. To the east is the Wrynose
pass, well known for car and walker exhaustion! In the foreground
above is my wife Ruth (Cumbria photos taken on our honeymoon in
1992).
