Megalithic Mysteries - Scotland Navigation:
A cup-marked
stone
in one of the cairns
One of the Highlands' better known prehistoric sites, the cairns found here have lent their name to a whole class of monument, the Clava Cairns. Another example of this type of cairn fifty or so miles to the north-west is Corrimony. The cairns are surrounded by stone circles.
BBC News: Friday, 7 January, 2000 Belgian tourist who took a stone from an ancient Scottish burial site has returned it after complaining it had cursed his family.
