Excavated in 1884, when a large number of pottary bowls were found.
The tomb gave its name to this particular sort of pottery - Unstan Ware. One of two main
categories found on Orkney, these bowls have a high rim and a pointed base.
Access: On the A965 road 4km out of Stromness
Rating: General Impression 3, Ambience 4, Access 3
Personal: Great fun climbing inside.
