As the name implies it is the National Museum of the American Indian - covering all of the USA; intriguingly information and displays on the tribal Nations of The South are notably absent.
Spent a very good couple hours here - very enjoyable visit, good anthroplogical, factual information, as opposed to a fusion of New Age / Native American Indian which seems prevalent in white-dominated encounters with the Native scene.
Just across from Battery Park - where the queues are for the ferries to Liberty Island and Statue of Liberty.
