The wall stands up to to a height of 1.5metres and up to 4metres thick. Some sections of the wall are drystone backed with rubble inside, other sections are just large stones placed in line.
The cliffs that defend this headland/cliff castle are now popular with rock climbers. The site is in the care of the National Trust.
