Re: Il Cromlech Del Piccolo San Bernardo by BolshieBoris on Wednesday, 10 September 2008

Took the afternoon of 27-10-07 out to drive here from foosball tournament at St Vincent, awesome mountain hairpin roads to get there but well worth the drive/petrol for the views alone - got lucky with the weather!!. Huge circle but very small stones (reminiscent of Barbrook III), straddling both the road and the France/Italy border. Very peaceful and evocative location, with wartime fortifications suggesting this patch of land to have been disputed for millennia, from Hannibal to Hitler. Border crossing is unmanned, and ample parking space available on the French side of the border. There were a couple of cafes etc which were closed, but might be open during the summer.

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
