On Open Day we were invited to inspect the finds from 2016, and here the archaeology student holds a tiny piece I'd found amongst the already-sieved shale-y material. This is carefully searched for any 'foreign' particles, ie: clay, flint, seeds, metal, etc., which are placed in the plastic bag lower left for analysis.
