Description
Neolithic Flint Axeheads, c. 4000 BCE., from Berry Pomeroy, Chudleigh, and Hartland, Devon.
"It would take many hours to make these axeheads. First a rough shape is made by chipping off pieces of flint, then it is carefully polished to give the fine finished shape."
