Description
Neolithic Flint Scrapers from Colyton, Devon. About 6000 years old.
"These three scrapers have been very carefully made from flint. Scrapers were probably used for a variety of tasks such as working animal skins or woodworking. The technique used to make these tools is called 'Knapping'. The people that made these tools were experts at knapping. If you look closely you can see that the edges have been sharpened to form a cutting edge, similar to the edges of some modern knives."
