At more than 10,000 years old, Aveline's Hole in the Mendip Hills (Somerset) is Britain's earliest cemetery. Dr Rick Schulting of Queen's University, Belfast and Mick Wysocki of the University of Central Lancashire hold an example of the remains found at the site.
