Having followed the bridlepaths up the hill, a gate let us into the hillfort site. At its northern end there is a large outcrop of rock with an almost balanced rock. The views to the north and west were superb. Walking up, there were also extensive views to the east, but these were largely obscured by trees and the long dry stone field wall once we reached the top of the hill.
