Wow you really got the lighting sorted. I look forward to the next trip soon. Maybe see the path of light this time

Thanks Lyn. I have created a La Hougue Bie gallery on the Archaeology Safaris website and that includes a couple of images with the light coming into the passage and chamber at sunrise. Although the cloud diffused the light and it was not as spectacular as it has been on other equinoxes, the images are interesting; the long exposure bringing out the colour in the pink granite.

What miserly bunch of buggers voted this less than 9 ? It is SUPERB.

Thanks Sem, if its worth mentioning at this stage it is supposed to be entered into Category **A**. Regards all and happy snapping. AS. PS: I should remember to read the rules and instructions next time....

Maybe I should have thrown a lamb into the chamber.

It is beautiful, and I don't think a lamb would help make it any more wonderful!! Its the golden light that really makes it stand out, and I love it :)

Thanks Nicola, just to let you into a secret, this image was taken with a Nikon D70s on self-timer then a long exposure; I am just out of shot behind the stone on the left shining a torch obliquely onto the cupmarked stone. The 5-second exposure captured the golden light from the small spots already in position in the chamber and also the natural light coming down the long passage to the back chamber. This is the best of several attempts to get the light, depth of field and my torch waving, right. Cheers AS…

Fantastic! I LOVE going inside tombs. The lighting you've captured here is spectacular, really shows up the rock art. Nice work!
