Description
Maes Knoll Hillfort, Norton Malreward, North Somerset, ST600660.
The remains of this Iron age hillfort lie at the eastern end of the Dundry Hill ridge just to the south of Bristol.
It is not far to the north of the Stanton Drew stone circles from where this picture was taken.
The Tump can be clearly seen at the left, whilst Wansdyke starts its journey eastwards down from the fort underneath the hedge on the skyline to the right.
