10 years as a field archaeologist. MA in Experimental Archaeology from Exeter University 2014. I also teach a course called Prehistoric pottery making which I wrote myself from my dissertation which was entitled The thermal resistance of early Neolithic large angular crushed vein quartz tempered pottery from Southwest Britain. The whole project took me nine months from beginning to end. It involved sourcing clay and sand , mostly from East Devon, processing the materials, making up a plastic clay making 100 pots of differing sand and clay recipes, firing them in 3-4 different bonfires and then evaluation the results.
