A panoramic view of the Cockpit Stone Circle which according to Magicmap ‘includes a circular kerbed stone bank 2.8m -11.2m wide and up to 0.5m high which encloses an area approximately 27m in diameter. There are 27 (?) standing and recumbent stones set largely into the internal face of this bank, thereby creating the stone circle. Tel Motza submitted by dodomad on 18th Sep 2013. Israel Antiquities Authority archaeologist Anna Ririkh shows the temple site and the altar used for religious rituals and practices, dated to the early monarchic period (9-10th century. BC) of the Judaean monarchy. The site was uncovered in Tel Motza near Jerusalem during rescue excavations. The findings include ritual pottery vessels, fragments of chalices and figurines of animals

Octagonal chamber with one large capstone. There are cupmarks on the capstone. Passage of 2 pairs of orthostats covered by one large capstone. Slightly restored in 1939.
