Fishing spear.
This fishing spear was used by fishermen Skæl and Søle one May morning in the year of 8232 BCE to catch a tuna fish off the coast of Fænø. It is possible to order a meal in Copenhagen’s restaurant Noma based entirely on Søle...

Truro Eastern District Centre Neolithic Enclosure
Date Added: 11th Jan 2013
Site Type: Causewayed Enclosure
Country: England (Cornwall)
Visited: Yes on 8th Nov 2012
Truro Eastern District Centre Neolithic Enclosure submitted by Andy B on 8th Nov 2012. Initial findings from the excavations suggest the eastern end of the site may have been a ‘causewayed enclosure’ dating from the early Neolithic period (3800BC to 3600BC). Later activity on the site includes the deposition of Late Neolithic Grooved Ware in pits within the enclosure, one of which also contained a stunning piece of Neolithic art carved onto both sides of a slate disc.
