Log Text: The Hilgenstein is believed to be originated in Sweden and got here by the ice-masses in the last cold period. An excavation took place here in 1844 and weapons from the late-bronze-period could be found here.

Log Text: Possible Menhir on the Petersberg. It was customary for newlyweds to sit on this stone after the wedding ceremony.
The location given here is wrong. The stone lies on the westside of the monastery about 20m west of the monastery tower. You have to go through the cemetary to get there.

Log Text: The Teufels Tintenfass is the Bauernstein (Farmers Stone) of Wiendorf and lies in front of the house of the former village mayor. In the middle ages this might have been the place of jurisdiction. It might have been part of a bigger structure before then.

Log Text: The Fehmgericht or Femegericht is not situated at it`s original location. It is said that it stood at a crossroads of the old way between Hettstedt, Nelben and Zickeritz.

Several of the small cave rooms within the rock were already used in the prehistory, as documented by finds from the Neolithic.

Fünffingerfelsen submitted by Creative Commons on 31st Mar 2018. The Fünffingerfelsen is a rock outrcop formation in the Klusenberge mountains in Halberstadt (Saxony-Anhalt/Germany). It consists of five sandstone needles that are 10 m high. This lead to the name "Five Finger Rock".
