They are in surprisingly good shape considering the amount of visitors they get. Many more petroglyphs, and in better shape, than I thought I would find. An enormous and magnificent menhir built into the wall of a tremendous pub on the main street in the village of South Zeal, Devon.

Nine Stones Close submitted by funsize on 4th Jun 2007. Seen from the south with just a hint of sunshine illuminating the frozen landscape around the stones. The guardian oak tree is the perfect companion to the last remaining stones of what was once a much larger monument.

A nice neat little stone circle on the moors below Belstone Tor on the common to the south of the village of Belstone, Devon. This circle is almost certainly the remains of a round burial cairn, and traces of the burial chamber can be seen within the circle.

The nine foot central stone is accompanied by a number of smaller stones surrounding it. The central stone also has several cup marks.
