Getting to this site is a welcome voyage, arriving at the gate (higher than a normal one) I read a friendly sign- warning me of a bull... So the landowner obviously doesn't want people visiting this site. Climbing over the gate I am affronted with another welcoming feature- electric fence. Slipping under the offending wire, and edging around the field keeping an eye out for the bull of terror, I approach the mound if earth and stones. Drizzlecombe menhir 2 submitted by TheCaptain on 13th Jun 2007. This magnificent menhir at the downhill end of row 2 (or C) at Drizzlecombe is the largest on Dartmoor, and said to be "by far the finest in the west of England".
I wouldnt argue with that.

Stalldon Row submitted by thecaptain on 22nd Sep 2006. The northern end of the row has 4 wonderful large (2 metres plus) stones still standing, which can be seen from miles away all over the southern moor, and look in many ways like walkers on the hilltop.
Seen here looking to the north, the wild moorland stretches off into the distance.
