Dartmoor, shows evidence of recent damage by whatever farmer is running
huge tractors across the fields. S(he) has been driving right through
the rows (perpendicular to them) along several tracks. I saw evidence of
at least 3 stones that had been dislodged and pushed aside by the wheels
of the tractor. I don't know if there is a procedure for reporting such
damage, or even if the farmer is liable for such damage. I have never, in my 12 year...

Log Text: What was clear today is that the tie led to a sea reveal statue circle. even if the circle is not exactly accurate it is in the right place - the slight on the water of Plymouth Sound was suddenly visible as you access the circle.

Merrivale Menhir submitted by AngieLake on 10th Apr 2015. This shot shows the "smaller pillar" that Butler describes, in relation to the menhir and the cairn 6 pit. He says: "The menhir, 3.1 m high, still stands in its original position, 42 m almost due south from the centre of the stone circle. There is no evidence that the smaller pillar, 2 m long, lying a few meters away ever stood upright, but it was erected in 1895 in the pit alongside, toppling again a few years later. Trevelgue Barrows submitted by Thorgrim on 7th Jul 2003. These Bronze Age barrows are to be found on the cliff top near the resort of Porth to the north of Trevelgue Head cliff castle SW8250 6310. Threatened by the sea which is undermining the cliff and by the rapid spread of villas, chalets and hotels; they might not be there for much longer.
