ST501644.Somerset.Nr Bristol Airport.Come off the A30 at Redhill village turn right after the church and follow the road for about a mile.You come to a fork,find somewhere to park.on the north of the fork is a field gate,go through up the field and through the next gate and the stones are there.The cap stone has a hollow which fills with water for the Wimblestone to drink.

He says: "The menhir, 3.1 m high, still stands in its original position, 42 m almost due south from the centre of the stone circle. There is no evidence that the smaller pillar, 2 m long, lying a few meters away ever stood upright, but it was erected in 1895 in the pit alongside, toppling again a few years later. Nine Stones Close submitted by funsize on 4th Jun 2007. Seen from the south with just a hint of sunshine illuminating the frozen landscape around the stones. The guardian oak tree is the perfect companion to the last remaining stones of what was once a much larger monument.
