Log Text: The proximity to the climbing park and the school is also evident here (unfortunately a lot of rubbish accumulates). A recommendation for visitors: Always have a garbage bag and a grab for cleaning up with you!

Log Text: Wonderful museum - the parking facilities are a nightmare though. It's best to use a parking garage. The collection is well sorted for this. Unfortunately, a nicer ambience is somehow missing in some places. Otherwise I was completely satisfied with my visit!

South of Schadewohl, west of Kerstenberg, near a hill called
'Spitzen Berg' are the remains of three megalithic tombs.
Tomb No. 1 is located 60m NW of a small way leading out of
Schadewohl. There is a small lengthy bush, the place has been
used as a dump.
Schadewohl 1 (or Tomb 37 according to the official book
'Großsteingräber in der Altmark') was an Extended Dolmen
with six pairs of uprights on the long sides, and a single
stone on the short.

Molmke Steingrab submitted by holger_rix on 30th Oct 2009. 1.4km west of the small village Molmke, south of Diesdorf, not far from Diesdorf Steingrab 3, there is another typical 'Altmark Grossdolmen' with enclosure.
And same as the other barrows in the area, the enclosure has two oversized guardian stones in the corners of the south-east end.
Unfortunately the NW part of the enclosure is missing.
Thats exactly where the comparative well preserved chamber is located.
There is something unusual about this chamber.
