Drethem Schalenstein submitted by holger_rix on 16th Sep 2009. Schalenstein (cup marked stone) near Drethem.
The stone was found by a farmer in 1968.
Somebody counted 44 marks scattered over one side of the stone.
The stone was brought to a place near the road from Drethem to Hitzacker.
A very inappropiate place.
And, in my oppinion, it should have been placed
with the marks showing upwards.
That would have been, most likely, closer to the original position.

Log Text: The cups are clearly visible and can also be felt very well. Unfortunately, due to the stone itself, they don't come into 'magic' like on the other photos right now.
