Log Text: Unfortunately the site is not in good condition. The hunter's high position can work well as a landmark. You can still find some larger stones, which are, however, heavily overgrown.

Log Text: The rune stones that stand in the wild around Haithabu are reconstructions. The originals are protected in the Viking Museum in Haithabu. Translated, the text of this one means: "King Sven placed this stone after (in memory of) Skarthe, his follower, who had gone west (England), but now fell near Haithabu."

Bremervoerde Huegelgrab Plietenberg submitted by CharcoalBurner89 on 13th May 2021. According to Dr. Tempel the tumulus is 21 meters wide and 1.6 meters high.
Professional excavations have not yet taken place. However, in 1858, the geometer Kropp determined that a stone circle runs on the tumulus, which is bisected by a 58 cm wide stone pavement. Nothing comparable is known so far.
