Basdahl Sieversberg

Basdahl Sieversberg submitted by CharcoalBurner89 on 10th Mar 2021. The Sieversberg is the highest tumulus in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme). The name Sieversberg is derived from a local legend according to which a robber named Sievers was buried here centuries ago. According to tradition, he was not allowed to be buried in the Christian cemetery.

Log Text: The tumulus can easily be reached by car from Basdahl. The last 200 meters, however, should be better walked because the road to the tumulus are very bad.
