Anundshög Skeppssättning

Anundshög Skeppssättning submitted by cereus on 28th Feb 2004. Badelunda shipshaped stone circles. Probably graves from around 1000 AD. Not excavated. In this area people began to settle 2500 BC. There is more to see here. Among other things a maze. I haven't seen it myself yet. Planning to go there as soon as the snow is gone!

Log Text: The stone ships, in combination with the large and smaller tumuli, are a truly wonderful place. Clear recommendation to stop by here for a visit.

Böksta Backe submitted by SolarMegalith on 13th Sep 2016. The horseman with spear might be Odin with his spear Gungnir, but the horse has only four legs, unlike eight-legged Sleipnir, the horse of Odin in Norse mythology (photo taken on August 2016).
