Log Text: The tumuli can be easily reached on foot. There is also an information board at the beginning of the circular route. A total of around 45 tumuli from the Bronze Age can be found here.

Log Text: I was particularly surprised that the information plate is in such good condition and showed no signs of vandalism or natural decay. The place is better to reach after rain only in rubber boots (no direct way, but you can see the information board from the street).

From the South: Perfectly preserved passage-grave with 4 chamber-capstones and one passage-capstone situated in moorland west of the village Wittstedt. Chamber size is appr. 6,5m x 2m. Clear size will probably be appr. 5m x 1,5m. According to Sprockhoff (Sprockhoff et al., Atlas der Megalithgräber Deutschlands, Teil 3, p. 7) it was discovered comparatively late (around 1910). It was very overgrown by moorland then, so chamber type was hard to determine. Nevertheless Sprockhoff identified 4 ...

Log Text: A really beautiful stone grave in the middle of the Wingster Forest. The path is very good, but only very poorly signposted. A GPS device definitely helps to find the right way.

Log Text: Unfortunately, it is very overgrown at the moment and can hardly be seen. No direct way to the grave, so you have to cross the field. Best to visit in autumn and winter.
