Log Text: Mound overgrown by ferns so probably best to visit in the winter. A path leads to the top of the mound which is taller and wider than you think. There is an interpretation board and a sign on the footpath that directs you to the barrow. It's in a clearing and the woodland is a pleasant area to have a walk. If you happen to be in the area go have a look and take it in as part of an interesting walk through old woodland filled with wildlife. Ashenbank wood, where the barrow is owned by the Woodland trust and there is a small carpark.
