Has been excavated. A small ammount of cremated bone was found.

Ferns are very tall around it.
A bronze age ring cairn but was filled in later in the bronze age.

Gorsedd Stone Circle,Bute Park,Coopers Field,Cardiff submitted by coldrum on 10th Apr 2006. Gorsedd Circle set up in 1978 situated in Bute Park also known as Coopers field.
The central stone slab is apparantly from a megalithic monument found in the park.
There is another Gorsedd circle built in 1899 near Cardiff museum and city hall. Category A

Reconstruction of Iron Age huts at St Fagan's Museum of Welsh life, W from Cardiff; when I visited, there was actually an archaeologist inside the smoking hut giving talks & demonstrations about 'celtic life'. A recommended visit.
