There is a replica of the piraeus lion in historiska museet, stockholm, where the runes are coloured. after i saw that copy, of course i wanted to see the real statue. the runes are graffity from vikings who went to greece (actually, quite many went to greece, at least, that's what swedish rune stones tell us). on this site, a typical viking age serpent with a body of runes can be seen. on the other side, there are some straight lines of runes

Standing on the platform of the Almogarén I felt as if I was on the bridge of an immense and steady ship; the little mound with its cave was the bow and the top of Bentayga the sails behind me. Around me, thanks to the steep drop of the mountain side, I could imagine a deep sea, made of air, separating me from the "coast" of the volcanic caldera of Tejeda.
