NGR: SN06093930 (Landranger map 145/Outdoor Leisure North Pembrokeshire map (No 35))
Located close to the centre of Newport in Pembrokeshire with public access. Although called a tripod dolmen four uprights exist - only two of which support the capstone (which is said to replicate the summit of Carn Ingli to the south).
Excavations have revealed cremated bone, Beaker and Grooved ware sherds.

Log Text: Despite its neighbours, the hedges and trees have begun to give this site a bit more of a natural setting compared to how it must have looked when the houses were first built. Impressed with the artist impression of the site on the information board - would like to see more by this artist!

Carn Alw submitted by Horatio on 27th Aug 2019. Carn Alw hill fort from the west, hard to see but from about the level of the dip in the crags running to the right is a broad, carefully delimited zone of 'chevaux-de-frise'. Not easy to see in this photo and stupidly I was stood amongst it admiring and commenting on it and I totally forgot to get 'the photo'. Where the path leads in from the viewers point, it goes through the defensive wall angled left (by the rush) and up on to a fairly level platform, where I guess the houses may have been...

Cork Stone submitted by Vicky on 13th Nov 2001. The Cork Stone, Stanton Moor, Derbyshire GR: SK245628
The Cork Stone is one of a number of impressive natural outcrops on Stanton Moor. Composed of weathered sandstone it resembles a huge mushroom or cork. As with the Andle Stone nearby it is covered in graffiti from the 19th and 20th centuries and has steps carved into the side to allow access to the top.

Pentre Ifan submitted by Horatio on 22nd Jun 2020. A year later and back at Pentre Ifan for the solstice sunset, all on my own some (apart from a 13yr old Jack Russell this time) I Was expecting at least to see one other (person not Jack Russell) at this site for the sunset.
That morning I'd gone to see the sunrise at Gors Fawr stone circle and even left my house in the rain knowing there was zero chance of seeing a sunrise, I definitely was not disappointed, crap weather but I enjoyed being amongst the stones as the solstice sun rose, the cu...
