it is called 1841 A.D. as the most awesome and nicest stonegrave in the Kingdom of Hannover. It has 17 yokes and is 27m long. The grave is build in the typically east-west-direction (235°) with a passage in the south. Very special is, that the oval border circle is doubly.
First excavtions were made by officers of Napoleon I. Some stones lowered but in 1824 A.D. stones brought back in their originally position.
In the stonegrave were found stonehatch...

Two orthostats of the lateral passage are visible to te left (SE) of the chamber. Clear width of the remaining chamber part varies between 2,9m and 3,8m. October 2009

The largest preserved capstone measures appr. 4,1m x 2,7m. This capstone is supported by two orthostats of the southeastern longside. Sprockhoff assumed, that the entrance was located between these orthostats.

Chamber measuring 18m by 2,5m-4,5m (clear: 15m by 1,2m -3m). Width maximum at the centre where the lateral passage is situated. D27 Borger submitted by dmlovelock on 22nd Dec 2004. Hunebed D27, the largest in Holland, Nov 1 2004. About 25 yards long, it stands beside the Hunebedden Information Center. The Center has several exhibits (in Dutch).
