Capstone C3 (counting from the West) is damaged and was fallen when Professor van Giffen examined the site in the 1920s, but later placed back. Otherwise chambers' megalithic structure was well preserved. The chamber is more than halfways embedded into a sand dune. Clear height reduced to less than 0,6m. Possibly there also are remains of the barrow. August 2011

D22 Bronneger

D22 Bronneger submitted by Martin_L on 12th May 2009. 5 orthostats and 2 large capstones are left of this passage grave. Possibly in situ. But the chamber is deeply hidden in the ground. Only the 2 capstones and one orthostat are visible nowadays. There is an enormous tree growing beside the tomb. All in all a very atmospheric site. (May 2009) Remark: the lens hood was removed to get some lens flares.
