On my third attempt to find this allée couverte I didn’t give up, although the last signpost I saw vaguely pointed into the middle of the forest, and any of three tracks could have been the right one !
After almost an hour of searching I found it. It’s becoming well overgrown despite fairly recent excavations.

The outer walling of the peristalith is almost complete, and there are many stones remaining of the cairn filling between the inner and outer walls in the northwest quadrant.

This was a lovely visit in the early morning sun, with dew and a bit of frost making everything sparkle, and some happy and contented cows wandering around in the surrounding fields.

Dolmen de Peyco Levado submitted by greywether on 4th Jul 2005. This is clearly a different site from that in the other posting. I think it is La Borie du Bois which is very to close to Marcigaliet but this needs to be confirmed - see site comments. La Borie du Bois (wherever it is!) is the second largest dolmen in Lot (after Pierre Martine) with a 5.7 x 3.2m capstone.
