3-capstone passage grave.
The chamber is deeply embedded into the sandy ground, but nevertheless quite impressive.
Beautifully situated at the edge of a small wood. (May 2009)

Probably a result of historic destruction attempts and the removal of all smaller stones and the dry walling. Nevertheless a very impressive site. The nearby site D18 is visible in the background. The chamber measures approx. 9,5m by 3,2-3,7m (Reference: van Giffen, A.E. , De Hunebedden In Nederland, Utrecht, 1925, Pl. 25).

D10 Gasteren submitted by Martin_L on 23rd Oct 2010. Pole aerial view from the East. The 4 capstone-chamber is oriented WNW-ESE and measures 6,7m by 3,1m [1]. Two capstones are robbed. No traces of passage or enclosure. The chamber is deeply embedded into the sandy ground/remains of its covering barrow.

Only the impressive megalithic skeleton remained halfway embedded into the ground (as in most cases). The site has a delightful ambience. August 2010

D1 Steenbergen submitted by Martin_L on 12th Jan 2012. Pole aerial view from the NW. Skeleton of a 12m by 3m-3,6m passage grave. Capstone C3 (counting from the West) is damaged and was fallen when Professor van Giffen examined the site in the 1920s, but later placed back. Otherwise chambers' megalithic structure was well preserved. The chamber is more than halfways embedded into a sand dune. Clear height reduced to less than 0,6m. Possibly there also are remains of the barrow.

Chamber measuring 18m by 2,5m-4,5m (clear: 15m by 1,2m -3m). Width maximum at the centre where the lateral passage is situated.
