Moel Ty Uchaf submitted by DJMace on 9th Nov 2020. Very nice example of a cairn circle in a spectacular location and well worth the hike. A straight walk up the hill along a rough track after passing through two metal gates. Continue on up and the circle is on left hand side. You won't be disappointed.

Gwal y Filiast
Date Added: 18th Jul 2021
Site Type: Chambered Tomb
Country: Wales (Carmarthenshire)
Visited: Would like to visit

Gwal y Filiast submitted by Horatio on 3rd May 2019. This Neolithic Cromlech is just outside the small village of Llanglyydwen, west Carmarthenshire near the upper reaches of the river Taf. It dates from around 4000 B.C and consists of a 13ft capstone supported by four uprights with an opening facing the river below.
The literal translation of its Welsh name means 'Lair of the grey hound bitch' but was more likely named after a 'Lair of Wolves'
It is very easy to access and only about a 10 minute walk from the road through the trees on a well...
