Site Type: Portal Tomb
Country: Wales (Pembrokeshire)
Visited: Yes on 19th Oct 2017

Pentre Ifan submitted by Humbucker on 19th Oct 2017. Visited Pentre Ifan for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Visited at sunset & again at dawn the following day - very atmospheric. The photos I have posted are all from the sunset visit & taken within a short time of each other. Tried to show the relationship of the site with the surrounding landscape - Mynydd Carn Ingli, the sea & The Carnedd Meibion Owen outcrops in the distance. Spectacular how quicly the light & cloud formations change as you take the shots

Arbor Low 1
Date Added: 11th Nov 2017
Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: England (Derbyshire)
Visited: Yes on 29th Oct 2017

Arbor Low 1 submitted by Humbucker on 29th Oct 2017. Arbor Low from the banks of the henge. I knew from previous visits it was difficult to show that this was a circle from the banks without a drone as you are almost level with the stones, I stood on tiptoes and held the camera on the tripod above my head. With the strong wind it was a bit of a challenge, I got several shots of empty fields and cows, but perseverance eventually paid off.
