East Kennett longbarrow submitted by Thorgrim on 6th Mar 2004. No public access, but clearly visible from the byway that goes uphill to the south of East Kennet village. Unexcavated, the barrow is 105m long and 6m high.

Ugarit Palace submitted by AlexHunger on 8th Jan 2007. Remains of King's Palace Courtyard. The king did a lot of the business deals himself. Foreign traders or dignitaries were received at the palace. Discussions were held at the pool while scribes etched and baked contracts on clay tablets on the spot.
Ancient Cananite city destroyed by the invasion of the Sea People around 1185 BCE.
The people of Ugarit invented one of the first Alphabets and controled trade from Crete and Cyprus to Mesopotamia and Egypt.

It has a single ditch and bank with post holes for gates in the eastern entrance.
