Horneburg Langbett 3 submitted by Martin_L on 11th May 2010. View East along the remains of the approx. 50m x 6m kerbed and chambered long-barrow. The chamber is located just east of barrows' center and visible near the center of the picture. Only the eastern end-stone and the adjacent orthostat of the northern long-side are preserved in situ. Hence the original size of the chamber is unknown. According to the size of the pit resulting from destruction it may have had 2 or 3 capstones. As usual the orthostats are slightly inclined towards the chamber, but due to erosion of the earthwork the eastern chamber endstones' inclination increased significantly. The capstones C2 and C3 are robbed otherwise the chamber is well preserved. Especially the western third of the chamber and the passage section are in very good condition. April 2010

Steinfeld Steingrab 2 submitted by AlexHunger on 1st May 2006. This relatively compact Alee Couverte consists of 8 uprights while 2 out of 3 cap stones survive. A fragment of the 3rd lies just beside the tomb. Archeologists presume the former tumulus was surrounded by kerbstones.
The site has been restored since Sprockhoff's survey in the 1930s.

Heinbockel Megalithgrab submitted by Martin_L on 19th Jun 2012. View towards SW. Southwestern end of a chambered tomb situated next to a small road in the village Heinbockel near Stade. The endstone and the adjacent pair of uprights are preserved and most probably in situ. The original chamber-size is unknown.
According to Körner (in Sprockhoff, Ernst (et al.) – Atlas der Megalithgräber Deutschlands – Teil 3 Niedersachsen - Westfalen, Habelt, Bonn, 1975, p. 22) the only remaining capstone was out of place but moved back on the uprights in 1966. ...
