The 3 remaining capstones are out of place, so the tomb looks rather destroyed, although all other stones are in situ except for one of the passage orthostats [April 2008].

Klein Stavern Steingrab 5 submitted by Martin_L on 19th Jan 2009. Standing at tombs' eastern end looking towards west. The destruction of this monument fortunately was stopped, but half of the kerbstones are missing. Others have drill-holes to blow them to pieces. Most of the remaining kerbstones are fallen. Possible this is a result of activities to remove them and/or prepare them for blasting (April 2008)

Werpeloh Steingrab 5 submitted by Martin_L on 10th May 2011. Werpeloh V viewed (pole aerial) from the North.
Chamber measuring appr. 6m by 3,2m [1]. It is halfway exposed, the dry-walling is robbed, but all ortostats are preserved and in situ, except for the western entrance orthostat (EW). The 3 capstones collapsed into the chamber (C1-C3). The chamber probably had a more unusual entrance in the South consisting of two orthostats (EW and EW) set slightly inwards beside the orthostats W3 and E3. In contrast Werpeloh IV just 12m to the West is a classic ...
