Menhir de la Croix-Grosse submitted by thecaptain on 31st Oct 2008. This really is a lovely monument, the basalt column is perfectly upright, and always has been, its never been restored.
Apparently the column must have been brought here from several kilometres away, so its obviously at a once very special place.

Menhir de la Demoiselle de Bracqueville submitted by thecaptain on 11th Oct 2006. la Demoiselle de Bracqueville, near Caen in Calvados. Its about 1.4 metres tall, and leans towards the north.
The farmer has left very little room around it, and it has some very recent scrapes and damage done to it, no doubt from farm machinery.

Menhir de la plaine de Chanet submitted by ocdolmen on 28th Aug 2006. Chanet menhir is standing near Florac-Chanet airfield. In this area existed a 3 menhirs alignment. It was destroyed one century ago. Two stones were broken and brought away by several cows.
Chanet menhir is 1.60 metre tall for 1 metre wide. Limestone.
