The southeastern face of the menhir has been worked into an extremely flat surface, of triangular shape, something which clearly took a lot of time to produce.

Midlum Henkenstein submitted by Martin_L on 29th Oct 2007. This is the western end of a chambered tomb. One large capstone and 3 orthostats are still in place so it looks like a dolmen, although it is not. There are significant remains of the barrow. It is also referred to as Sprockhoff No. 606. According to his research (Atlas der Megalithgräber Teil 3, Textband Page 3) the tomb originally had a length of 6-8m.

Molmke Steingrab

Molmke Steingrab submitted by holger_rix on 30th Oct 2009. 1.4km west of the small village Molmke, south of Diesdorf, not far from Diesdorf Steingrab 3, there is another typical 'Altmark Grossdolmen' with enclosure. And same as the other barrows in the area, the enclosure has two oversized guardian stones in the corners of the south-east end. Unfortunately the NW part of the enclosure is missing. Thats exactly where the comparative well preserved chamber is located. There is something unusual about this chamber. It has a trapezoid shape, ...

Monpalais dolmen 2

Monpalais dolmen 2 submitted by thecaptain on 5th Sep 2009. Just 50 metres west of Taizé No 1 is this poor little thing. It also looks to have been recently excavated and restored, but there can't have been much to work on. There is a collapsed capstone and two side stones, and also probably the backstone, but it is now all nearly flat to the ground.

Mont St Michel

Mont St Michel submitted by theCaptain on 4th Jan 2013. They are trying to cut off the Mont again, to get the sea to surround it once more. I read at the new controlling dam on the river that the land has risen 4.9 metres since the 1960s. Much of these new grassy marshes is being dug up and pushed into the river, hopefully to get washed away.
