La Roche Piquée (Baudouinais) submitted by thecaptain on 24th Feb 2007. When I visited, the field was well fenced off, and full of cows, so I didn't get to visit the stone properly, but I would estimate it to be about 4 metres tall.

Pierre Blanche (Pocé-les-Bois) submitted by TheCaptain on 29th Jun 2010. The Pierre Blanche of Pocé-les-Bois, south of Vitré, is a nice 4 metre tall menhir. It has a nice pointy top, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it has been hit and broken by lightning on occasion.

Le Cleray submitted by TheCaptain on 30th Jun 2010. It is indeed about 4 metres tall, almost 3 metres wide at the bottom, and a metre thick. It has a little sign stating it is an ancient monument, and that the area around here has been lived in for millennia.

Champ Des Louères Menhir submitted by TheCaptain on 14th Aug 2013. This is a big stone, which lives in a field beside the trackway behind the sports centre.
There are a couple of intriguing round holes/niches within it, but I dont know whether these are natural or have been cut.

Site Type: Standing Stones
Country: France (Pays de la Loire:Loire-Atlantique)
Visited: Yes on 24th Jun 2013. My rating: Condition 2 Ambience 1 Access 5
Calvaire De Louisfert submitted by AlexHunger on 2nd Jun 2005. Cemetery of hundreds of megaliths uprooted from their rightful place in entire region between 1872-1892 by local Abbé Cotteux and supplanted by crossed and saints. An utter obscenity of kitsch and Christian Chauvinism. Abbé Cotteux is also buried in the Calvaire. If you love megaliths, don't come here.

These alignements consist of between 30 and 40 white quartz stone blocks. There is a thought that they could be arranged as an oval and four further arcs on the outside of this.
