Boerger Steingrab 'Steenhus' submitted by Martin_L on 9th May 2011. View towards the lateral entrance. Passage damaged, but the two western orthostats are preserved in situ. The skeleton of the 23,5m by 4m chamber is halfway embedded into remains of the eroded barrow. One remaining kerbstone of an appr. 29m by 10m enclosure visible foreground left.

The clear height is reduced to only 50cm. Nevertheless currently the only possibility to view the inside of the chamber. The flat sides of the glacial granite erratics face towards the inside of the chamber (as usual). April 2010

Gross Berssen Steingrab 7 submitted by RunaStera on 3rd May 2004. The 7th and last megalithic grave on a nice weather motorcycle-tour on 1st of May. This one was renewed in 1958. It is situated in a 24m long and 20m wide mound. During first systematic excavations in 1956 were found 330 ceramics of baker culture, 22 flint-arrowheads, more stonetools and a flat copper-disc.
This megatlithic grave is in a short distance to the "King's Grave".

Herssum Steingrab submitted by RunaStera on 30th May 2005. Hunebed #867 in the County of Emsland (EL). It is deep in the forest between sandy dunes. No capstone is in position, but the size and the large stones are impressive. It is 20 m long, in the middle 2 m and at both ends 1.5 m wide. The Entrance is, like at all "Emsländische Kammer"-Graves in the south. The direction of the chamber is West/East with 284°. The oval stonecircle around the chamber is not complete. Easy to find hunebed, because the County of Emsland installed large directions signs...

it is called 1841 A.D. as the most awesome and nicest stonegrave in the Kingdom of Hannover. It has 17 yokes and is 27m long. The grave is build in the typically east-west-direction (235°) with a passage in the south. Very special is, that the oval border circle is doubly.
First excavtions were made by officers of Napoleon I. Some stones lowered but in 1824 A.D. stones brought back in their originally position.
In the stonegrave were found stonehatch...
