Dorset Cursus submitted by JimChampion on 2nd Apr 2005. Looking NE along the course of the Dorset Cursus from Gussage Hill to Bottlebush Down. The cursus banks no longer remain in this 3 km section so their route has been sketched out in white. In the foreground is the grassy remains of Gussage Down settlement, in the centre the Bronze Age round barrows on Wyke Down. Combe Hill has an ancient Neolithic causewayed enclosure as well as Bronze Age barrows, this one quite literally on the peak of the eastern side of the hill.
