Log Text: Not a particularly nice position as it's very close to a busy, town centre. Hard to photograph one side as it's quite close to a railing.

Very easy to find. Head onto Trelowarren Street, Camborne's main, one-way, shopping street (limited on-street parking but there's a large car park very nearby). Near the top end there is a small square with a Bingo hall, benches, etc. Go through the square, following Chapel Street, the road perpendicular to the shopping street. The cross is in front of the Methodist chapel, a hundred or so metres on the left-hand side of the street. Earlier on this street, on the right-hand side, is the Camborne Cross.

I recommend parking in the Rosewarne car park for an hour, walking back up to Trelowarren Street. It's then pretty easy to visit the Camborne Cross and Killivose Cross, then walking up Trelowarren Street, across the roundabout to the Church of St Martin & St Meriadoc and then visiting Maen Cadoar menhir/Cross and Ia's Cross (not currently on this site).

Leaze Cist

Leaze Cist submitted by TheCaptain on 24th Mar 2005. Walking northwards towards King Arthur’s Hall from the end of the road out into Bodmin Moor near Leaze waterworks, the remains of a fine cist within a kerbed cairn are to be found. The cist is about 3 foot long by 18 inches wide, and a couple of feet deep, lined with good slabs of stone. The surrounding cairn is fairly small, probably only about 3 metres in diameter, but with a clear circle of stones surrounding it.

Louden Hill circle submitted by RoyG on 15th Mar 2015. Stone 26 introduced us to what was to become known affectionately as ‘Louden Man’ and along with the ‘Crow Stone’ (Stone 44) found later, were to become popular with walkers passing by that looked in to see what we were up to. Lying buried for many years, 'Louden Man' was to reveal this wonderful image once the light was in a favourable position.

Louden Long Cairn

Louden Long Cairn submitted by davep on 24th Jul 2022. I found the site in the photo at SX 14025 80332 using the grid reference for this Megalithic Portal entry. It matches the description of a site on the HER which also matches this grid reference with HER uid=MCO11015. There is an entry on Pstscape entry for the medieval long houses by the foot of Roughtor which could not conceivably be confused with long cairns.
