Emblance Down stone row submitted by TheCaptain on 23rd Mar 2005. Sunday I had a day walking on northwestern Bodmin moor, and visited about a dozen prehistoric sites. Walk eastwards from the two circles along the edge of the southern wall, and after a couple of hundred yards can be seen a large pointed stone flat to the ground. This stone is about three and a ...

Roughtor long cairn submitted by theCaptain on 18th Oct 2014. Almost 500 metre long stone bank structure, 5 - 8 metres wide and with facing slabs lining its edges, on the northern slopes of Rough Tor. Originally thought to be a sort of boundary structure, an investigation by TimeTeam in 2007 showed it to be more of a cairn type feature.

Date Added: 27th Aug 2021
Site Type: Long Barrow
Country: England (Cornwall)
Visited: Yes on 26th Aug 2021. My rating: Condition 2 Ambience 4 Access 3

Louden Long Cairn submitted by davep on 24th Jul 2022. I found the site in the photo at SX 14025 80332 using the grid reference for this Megalithic Portal entry. It matches the description of a site on the HER which also matches this grid reference with HER uid=MCO11015.
There is an entry on Pstscape entry for the medieval long houses by the foot of Roughtor which could not conceivably be confused with long cairns.
