Dolmen de la Pagerie
Trip No.1 Entry No.1 Date Added: 14th Jul 2022
Site Type: Burial Chamber or Dolmen
Country: France (Pays de la Loire:Maine-et-Loire 49)
Visited: Yes on 1st Jul 2022. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 4 Access 3

Dolmen de la Pagerie submitted by Martin_L on 13th Jul 2022. Landscape context of the Pierre Couverte de la Pagerie. Seen from the East in July 2022. In the Inventaire des mégalithes de la France Dr. Michel Gruet writes "[...] enorme monument [...]" and one cannot agree more. The clear size of the chamber is 10,65m by 5m. As one support in the SE is obviously missing the SE part is partly collapsed. Nevertheless this site is incredibly impressive.

Dolmen de la Pierrelée
Date Added: 20th Jan 2022
Site Type: Burial Chamber or Dolmen
Country: France (Pays de la Loire:Maine-et-Loire 49)
Visited: Would like to visit

Dolmen de la Pierrelée submitted by TheCaptain on 5th Sep 2013. What's left of this Angevine dolmen is still within a mound, although how ancient the mound is I wouldn't like to say.
The odd thing is that it has been lived in, and the inside has been rebuilt with stone blocks to allow a doorway and stairs down into it, which are not in the original entrance. It also has a fireplace and a chimney complete with pot, and a water trough.

Dolmen de Mane Rohr
Date Added: 17th Sep 2010
Site Type: Burial Chamber or Dolmen
Country: France (Bretagne:Morbihan (56))
Visited: Yes on 31st Jan 2009

Dolmen de Mane Rohr submitted by Martin_L on 31st Jan 2009. Dolmen de Mane Rohr at dusk in May 2001. It is an absolutely terrific site, but somewhat overgrown. In 2001 it was possible to cross a sports ground and then follow a narrow track through a little "jungle". It is not signposted, but if you are in this area you should buy the 1:25000 map anyway :-)

Dolmen de Men-Milliget
Date Added: 14th Jul 2022
Site Type: Burial Chamber or Dolmen
Country: France (Bretagne:Finistère (29))
Visited: Yes on 1st Jun 2022. My rating: Condition 4 Ambience 4 Access 4

Dolmen de Men-Milliget submitted by Martin_L on 28th Jun 2022. The dolmen seen roughly from the East. The stone foreground left probably is a passage capstone. The chamber is mainly below level of the surrounding ground and halfways filled with earth/sand. Quite an impressive site. The large chamber capstone shows some interesting erosion and the chamber orthostats are nicely shaped. June 2022

Log Text: Tre ortostater og en dekkstein er til stede. Sikkert må i det minste en form for passasje ha blitt borte. Ensemblet er veldig imponerende. Rår høyt i et felt.
Three orthostats and one capstone are present. For sure at least some sort of passage must have gone missing. The ensemble is very impressive. Towering high in a field. As of summer 2022 the farmer kindly left an access path.

impressive, but heavily damaged megalithic site. Chamber(part) with moved and partly broken capstone. Further stones possibly belong to a passage or may indicate it originally has been an allée couverte. Sits inside eroded remains of the tumulus.
